Welcome to EFT News – AustraliaA monthly EFT newsletter nurturing People Ideas Spirit Volume 1, No. 3 EFT News – Australia is dedicated to making EFT easily available to people throughout Australia , showcasing some of the best EFT practitioners in Australia and keeping you up to date on the newer nuances of the work. It is my intention that EFT News – Australia provide you with lots of good information, some great laughs and valuable tips to help you move further into your fulfilled, authentic self, using EFT all the way! It is now fairly easy for EFT practitioners to get inexpensive business insurance – IF you have attended those content approved EFT workshops. The benefits of attending the approved workshops are growing all the time. There is a new Level 3 Supervisory Program that will make your EFT practice more visible than ever before. Adelaide ’s local EFT group had 21 people in February. Want to start a group in your location? Just let me know and I’ll put it in the next newsletter. Maggie Adkins, EFT Master Insurance for your EFT Practice more reasonable than you may think If you are teaching EFT without insurance, the number of venues available to you for your workshops is not going to be very big. If you have insurance, you will find that you have much more choice in where you teach. The venues where I teach routinely want $10 million in coverage from my insurance company. Having said that, the venues I qualify for because I have insurance are usually much less expensive than their hotel/conference centre counterparts. I probably save money by having insurance. If you have completed the content approved EFT workshops, you are probably eligible to join IICT (International Institute for Comprehensive Therapists). Their website is http://www.iict.com.au. I joined as an Associate Member ($55) and you can also join as a Full IICT Member, which means you receive discounts to their member workshops. You may already belong to a qualifying organization. I mention ICCT only because you do have to be a member of an organization in order to be eligible for insurance through OAMPS. OAMPS website is www.oamps.com.au Unique Art of Delivery workshop coming to Australia If you haven’t attended one of Rehana Webster’s workshops, you have quite a treat in store for you. A natural teacher, Rehana brings forth the best of NLP into EFT – and what a powerful combination. Rehana not only knows her “stuff”, she is that rare combination of public speaker AND teacher, so you are entertained and learn at the same time. No falling asleep in this workshop! Her Art of Delivery workshop will only be taught twice in Australia this year. The first is in Melbourne 17 & 18 May in the Heidelberg area. There are already practitioners who have experienced Rehana’s captivating style and deep knowledge reserving their place so they can make airline reservations to fly in from Queensland . This workshop will be limited to the first 35 people who register. The Art of Delivery - 2 full days – $350. Contact Maggie for details. Exciting Level 3 Supervisory Program is here. Rehana Webster and I have created a new Supervisory Program for practitioners who take our Level 3 training. This program is comprehensive and is meant to show us what the participants can really do – what are their EFT strengths or weaknesses, how can they be the best they can be? At the end of the year’s program, graduates will be listed on a new Australian website that is only for quality practitioners who we know are skilled working with clients. So far all listings for EFT practitioners in Australia are simply lists of people who have completed workshops. When practitioners complete our Supervisory Program, they will be highlighted on the website as quality practitioners and receive client referrals. Adelaide EFT group takes off flying with 21 attending first 2008 meeting The Adelaide EFT group, led by Jeanette Findlay, had it’s first 2008 meeting in February and attracted 21 EFTers. We have a different speaker every month. Next meeting 5 March at 7pm. Speakers give a 15-20 minute talk and everyone gets to tap – of course. You can find out about these meetings by emailing Jeanette at jfindlay@bigpond.net.au or calling 0438 586 291. A suggestion that we have various committees to teach EFT to special groups such as hospice workers, people who work with serious disease, and other community groups was well received. If you have an existing group or want to start a group in your area, send me your information and I will publish a list in the next newsletter. EFT Extravaganza – Healing Our Lives Through EFT No, the website is not finished yet, but you can get the overall picture of this world class EFT conference at www.eftextravaganza.com.au The conference will highlight Australian presenters as well as EFT experts from the U.S. Check it out. New EFT Film – Try It On Everything This film reminds me of that wonderful song “Whatz the Buzz – tell me whatz happening – whatz the buzz tell me whatz happenin…………” Well, I’ll tell you the buzz. It’s a new documentary film about EFT. It incorporates people you heard from in The Secret, Dawson Church of “The Genie in your Genes”, and lots more. It makes my heart feel so good to hear people like Jack Canfield, Joe Vitale, and other well known people talking about EFT. Check out the website, download the EFT ebook and get on their elist. Film premier is next week in the U.S. and it is available as a DVD to all of us. I’ve already bought my copy and we’ll be showing it at a public showing somewhere in Adelaide in April. Ask Maggie - EFT eases tough decision making EFT is known to help clear the mind and, in fact, bring clarity to issues that may be confusing. This is easily demonstrated in decision making. Let’s say you don’t know whether to go to Sydney or Melbourne on holiday. You are torn as there are appealing features for each place. Take about 5 minutes and do the following: Using Continual Tapping, say the following at each tapping point for one round. "Sydney is the perfect holiday place for me. I can see myself having a wonderful time in Sydney right now." Have any body sensations arisen? Any thoughts? Any emotions? Allow yourself a minute or two to feel what your body is telling you. Are you calm or anxious? Allow yourself to take a deep breath and, in a few minutes do the same for the following statement: "Melbourne is the perfect holiday place for me. I can see myself having a wonderful time in Melbourne right now." Once again, ask yourself if there are body sensations, thoughts, emotions? What is your body telling you? Some things might require more than one round, however, the feedback from clients is that most often one round leads them in the right direction.
